Go For Two: Water Cooler Topics For Week 5

What are the games to watch in week 5?

Falcons at Redskins 1:00PM EST

The Falcons are 4-0. Matt Ryan has a league-leading 112.1 passer rating. Turner is an explosive running back and lets not forget Roddy White, Julio Jones and Tony Gonzalez. The Falcons have an exciting offense and that makes for exciting football.

The Redskins are 2-2 coming off of a last minute win against Tampa Bay. They are still trying to decide who they are, but with the ability to come back against Tampa Bay in a last second win, that speaks well for their future.

The Heisman Today and Winners of Yore

Another football weekend has come to a close. It is finally the point in the season when you start to know the who's who and the what's what. No more blind predictions. There is sparkle. There are duds. Overachievers. Underachievers.

Someone finally seems to want the Heisman on a good enough team. The trophy isn't awarded to someone on a team where he is the star and his cohorts are schmucks in a conference without BCS flair. WVU seems to fit the bill. It only took five weeks for someone to make a real play for it. Geno Smith's coming out party was officially on Saturday versus RGIII's former team, Baylor. He had more TD passes than incompletions. 656 passing yards. The game combined for 133 points. Insane. He is leading the Bowl Subdivision in nearly every passing statistic.

Go For Two: Water Cooler Topics for This Sunday

This week is all about expectations. Making It or Breaking It. Flying or Nose Diving.

Here are the top 5 people/teams fans will be watching for.

What's the story morning glory?

#1: Peyton Manning.

Of course he is number one. Arguably the best quarterback to ever grace the gridiron, he has a monstrous task this week. Every eye will be on how he throws the ball. Can he throw across his body? How is his timing? What will happen if he gets hit? Is it the grace of the football Gods or a miraculous physical therapy program that fixed his neck nerves? Will he still have the nerve? And if Peyton looks good, what will the players look like around him?

This will be topic number one on Sunday.

Broncos vs Steelers Sunday at 8:20 PM EST
